| We receive a lot of enquires concerning the recording process and various other questions so we have put together a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section which we hope will answer the most common questions. Please scroll down for Q&A's and feel free to contact us if you have a question which isn't covered below. |

| Can we choose any location we
want to record in? Yes - although when someone says to us "we have a great room to record in" it can sometimes mean that it is a less than perfect recording environment. For example some churches can create huge reverb effects that can result in the recording being 'swamped' in reverb. Basically reverb can be added but there are no mixing tricks to remove it. We can add just the right amount of reverb to the recording with our superb high-end convolution reverb processors. These are designed to emulate numerous churches, cathedrals or any other space or building that you can possibly think of. |

How much input can we have
in the recording and can we make suggestions on the production?
After recording the first track we always playback the recorded track for you to hear for yourself so that we can ensure everyone is happy before proceeding with the rest of the session. Although we try to offer as much advice as we possibly can, we always quote the famous quote: 'the customer is always right'. We are here to provide a service at the end of the day and it is your product, so who are we to tell you how it should sound? We offer advice based on our experience but we are here to work with you - not against you. |

| How long does it take to receive our CD? We never mix on the same day as the recording, but return to it with 'fresh ears' a day or two later while the session is still fresh in our minds. So you would receive a master CD a few days later. |

| We don't like the idea of recording
digitally? We like others have been dragged kicking and screaming into the digital age and like most pro studios we have never felt the need to revert back to analogue. We actually record at a higher quality than CD and only convert down to the standard CD format at the mastering stage to ensure the best possible quality. You could choose to hunt down one of the very few companies that still record using analogue tape but realistically unless you are looking at pressing it onto vinyl it will finish up in the digital format on CD anyway! |

|
| Can we do re-takes? Of course - but you should be aware of time constraints. It is not a good idea to re-record the same track over and over for hours to be left with little time to record the rest of the tracks. Additionally the performance of singers and instrumentalists can deteriorate the more times they are expected to perform. Due to our experience in numerous recording sessions we project manage the session and advise on progress so you don't have to worry. |
